The Steel Cutting Disc SF 115 x 1.0 x 22.23mm is a thin abrasive cutting disc designed for cutting compatible steel and ferrous metal materials. Featuring a 115mm diameter, slim 1.0mm thickness, and 22.23mm bore, it is suitable for compatible angle grinders used in fabrication, construction, workshop, maintenance, and general metalworking applications.
The thin 1.0mm profile is particularly useful where a narrow cut is required, helping provide fast and controlled cutting of suitable steel products when used with the correct equipment.
115mm Thin Steel Cutting Disc
The Steel Cutting Disc SF features the following dimensions:
- Diameter: 115mm
- Thickness: 1.0mm
- Bore: 22.23mm
- Application: Steel cutting
Its compact 115mm diameter makes it suitable for compatible handheld angle grinders, while the 1.0mm thickness provides a thin cutting profile for suitable metalworking tasks.
Designed for Steel Cutting
This abrasive disc is intended for cutting compatible steel and ferrous metal products.
Typical applications may include:
- Steel tubing
- Steel pipe
- Sheet steel
- Flat bar
- Angle iron
- Steel profiles
- Metal fabrication
- Construction work
- Workshop repairs
- General metal cutting
Always confirm the specific material is compatible with the cutting disc before use.
Thin 1.0mm Cutting Profile
The 1.0mm disc thickness provides a narrower cutting profile compared with thicker abrasive discs.
This makes it particularly useful for suitable applications where quick, controlled cutting and reduced material removal are preferred.
Thin cutting discs should be used strictly for cutting rather than side grinding, unless specifically stated otherwise by the manufacturer.

Machine Compatibility
Before fitting the disc, ensure the angle grinder is designed to accept a 115mm diameter disc with a 22.23mm bore.
Check the spindle, flanges, guard, and mounting arrangement before operation.
The angle grinder’s operating speed must never exceed the maximum RPM or operating speed marked on the disc.
Safe Use
Abrasive steel cutting produces sparks, hot metal, noise, dust, and flying particles. Always use appropriate PPE, including suitable:
- Eye and face protection
- Hearing protection
- Gloves
- Protective clothing
- Safety footwear
- Respiratory protection where required
Secure the workpiece before cutting and keep flammable materials away from sparks.
Do not apply excessive sideways pressure to a thin cutting disc. Never use a disc that is cracked, chipped, damaged, incorrectly mounted, or otherwise unsuitable for safe operation.
Storage and Handling
Store abrasive discs in a clean and dry location where they are protected from moisture, impact, bending, and other physical damage.
Inspect the disc before each use and follow both the disc manufacturer’s and power tool manufacturer’s operating and safety instructions.
