The Raw Linseed Oil 750ml is a natural wood treatment oil used to nourish, seal, and protect timber surfaces. Commonly used on untreated wood, tools, furniture, and outdoor timber applications, raw linseed oil penetrates deeply into the wood grain to help reduce drying, cracking, and weathering.
Raw linseed oil is derived from flax seeds and is widely used as a traditional wood finish and preservative.
Natural wood nourishment and protection
Raw linseed oil enhances the natural appearance of timber while helping protect against moisture and environmental exposure. It leaves a light amber finish on wood surfaces and is especially suitable for:
- Wooden furniture
- Timber doors and frames
- Garden furniture
- Tool handles
- Outdoor wood treatment
Powafix Raw Linseed Oil is described as an amber-coloured slow-drying natural oil for exterior timber applications.
Deep penetration for long-lasting timber care
Unlike surface coatings that sit on top of the wood, raw linseed oil penetrates into the timber fibres, helping condition and preserve the wood from within.
For first application on raw timber, it is commonly recommended to mix one part linseed oil with one part turpentine for improved penetration.
Because raw linseed oil dries slowly, it provides extended penetration time, making it effective for nourishing dry or weathered timber. Drying time may range between several hours and multiple days depending on conditions.
