Safety & Load Requirements
Always check the specific manufacturer’s working-load or breaking-strength rating before using the rope for applications involving significant loads. Rope strength varies according to its construction and specification, even when ropes have the same nominal diameter.
Knots, cuts, abrasion and other damage can reduce rope strength, while nylon can also temporarily lose some strength when wet.
Do not use general-purpose rope for climbing, fall protection, lifting people or critical load-bearing applications unless the specific product is certified for that purpose.
Care and Storage
Inspect the rope regularly for fraying, cuts, abrasion and damaged fibres. Store it in a clean, dry location away from sharp objects, damaging chemicals and excessive heat.
Replace the rope if significant wear or damage is visible.
