The Steel Cutting Disc TC 230 x 1.8 x 23mm DTCD230S-100 is a thin abrasive cutting disc designed for cutting compatible steel and ferrous metal materials. Featuring a 230mm diameter, 1.8mm thickness, and approximately 23mm bore, this disc is suitable for compatible cutting equipment used in fabrication, construction, workshops, maintenance, and general metalworking applications.
Its thin 1.8mm cutting profile helps provide an efficient, narrow cut, while the larger 230mm diameter offers greater cutting depth than smaller angle-grinder discs.
230mm Steel Cutting Disc DTCD230S-100
The Steel Cutting Disc TC features the following specifications:
- Diameter: 230mm
- Thickness: 1.8mm
- Bore: 23mm
- Model/code: DTCD230S-100
- Application: Steel cutting
Always verify the exact bore specification printed on the disc and confirm compatibility with the intended power tool before installation.
Designed for Steel Cutting
This abrasive cutting disc is intended for cutting compatible steel and ferrous metal products.
Typical applications may include:
- Steel tubing
- Steel pipes
- Sheet steel
- Flat bar
- Angle iron
- Steel profiles
- Steel sections
- Metal fabrication
- Construction work
- Workshop repairs
- General metal cutting
Thin 1.8mm Cutting Profile
The 1.8mm thickness provides a relatively thin cutting profile for a 230mm disc.
A thinner cutting disc removes less material than many thicker alternatives, making it useful for suitable applications where an efficient and controlled cut is required.
Cutting discs should not be used for side grinding unless the manufacturer specifically states that the disc is designed for that purpose.

Machine Compatibility
Before fitting the disc, confirm that the cutting machine or angle grinder accepts the specified 230mm disc diameter and centre bore.
The spindle, mounting flanges, guard, and other components must be compatible with the disc.
Never operate the disc on a machine that exceeds the maximum RPM or operating speed printed on the disc.
Safe Use
Steel cutting can generate sparks, hot metal, noise, dust, and flying particles. Always use appropriate personal protective equipment, including suitable:
- Eye and face protection
- Hearing protection
- Gloves
- Protective clothing
- Safety footwear
- Respiratory protection where required
Secure the workpiece before cutting and keep combustible materials away from sparks.
Do not apply excessive sideways pressure to the disc. Never use an abrasive disc that is cracked, chipped, damaged, incorrectly fitted, or otherwise unsuitable for safe operation.
Storage and Handling
Store cutting discs in a clean and dry environment where they are protected from moisture, impact, bending, and other physical damage.
Inspect the disc before each use and follow both the disc manufacturer’s and power tool manufacturer’s operating and safety instructions.
