Build It DTM Community Care: Spreading Warmth, One Blanket at a Time

At Build It DTM, we believe that building a stronger community goes far beyond bricks, cement and building materials. It means looking after the people around us and lending a helping hand where we can.

As part of our Build It DTM Community Care initiative, our team recently carried out a winter blanket drive, distributing 100 warm blankets to members of a nearby township community who were in need.

100 Blankets, 100 Acts of Care

Winter can be especially difficult for families and individuals who do not have adequate protection from the cold. With temperatures dropping across Gauteng, we wanted to do something practical that could make an immediate difference.

Our team headed into the community with 100 blankets, personally distributing them to people who needed them most.

While a blanket may seem like a simple item, during a cold winter night it can mean warmth, comfort and a little reassurance that someone cares.

More Than Just a Hardware Store

Build It DTM has proudly served Benoni and the surrounding communities for many years. Our customers, contractors, staff and local residents are the people who have helped us grow, and we believe that supporting the community should be part of who we are.

Build It DTM Community Care represents our commitment to giving back through meaningful initiatives that can have a positive impact on the lives of people within our surrounding communities.

The blanket drive was about more than handing out 100 blankets. It was about meeting people, sharing a moment with them and reminding ourselves that even relatively small acts of kindness can make a meaningful difference.
